Video Editing: Video edits that drive results

A senior editor at Studio Connecta edits what you've already recorded: picks the best moments, cuts to the pace of each channel, and finishes with on-brand captions and motion graphics. You approve the hours up front and get the video ready to post, in the formats you request.

Illustrative edit with fictional data. In an editing suite, the editor builds clip 02 from a weekly live stream: cuts the excess footage, syncs the captions, adds the intro and the architect's lower third, normalizes the audio, and lays in the licensed track. The team reviews the clip, and the editor exports it in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, ready to post.

The pain / 01

Video edited on the fly
costs you ad spend and your team's hours.

  1. Scene 01

The live stream ended, and the recording stayed on the drive

On Tuesday, you went live with your best client, who explained why they bought from you. By Wednesday, the recording was sitting on the drive. No one on your team had time to find the moment worth clipping.

The cost of leaving it as is

You and your client put time into content that aired once, live. Meanwhile, your team builds this week's post from scratch.

  2. Scene 02

Your media buyer asks for new video and gets raw footage

You approve the month's ad budget. In week two, your media buyer says the ads have gone stale and asks for new videos. All you have is an uncut phone recording with no captions, so they run it in the campaign.

The cost of leaving it as is

You pay for media to show a weak video to people who ignore it, and your team starts blaming the targeting for the cost per lead.

  3. Scene 03

Viewers with the sound off scroll right past your video

You record a careful video about what sets your company apart and post it without captions. A customer scrolling Instagram in a waiting room, with the sound off, sees a person talking and moves on to the next post.

The cost of leaving it as is

The person who makes the buying decision doesn't hear the pitch your team spent an afternoon recording. You decide the script was the problem and record it all over again.

  4. Scene 04

Your podcast has expert content and empty-room sound

You record a podcast with first-rate technical content. Listeners drop off mid-episode because of the echo and the volume that jumps up and down. In the video version, your logo shows up in a different corner each week.

The cost of leaving it as is

Before asking for a quote, a prospect compares your video with your competitor's and walks away thinking your company looks amateur. You have to work harder to justify your price.

  5. Scene 05

Someone on your team reframes the video by hand for each platform

The horizontal video looks great on YouTube. On Reels, the interviewee's head ends up out of frame. Someone on your team opens an app on their phone and redoes each version one at a time, between other tasks.

The cost of leaving it as is

You pay for someone's hours to redo a finished video, and that person lets another task slide. If time runs short, one of your channels goes without the video.

  6. Scene 06

Editing gets pushed to the end of the day, on a phone

On your team, the same person runs social media and organizes events. Video editing goes to the back of the line, in a phone app, after hours. The video comes out with the pacing of someone who was worn out.

The cost of leaving it as is

You post off schedule, with whatever video there was time to make. A senior editor on staff would solve it, but you'd pay a salary every month, even in months with little to edit.

Without an editor, your recordings wait in your team's queue, behind the rest of your marketing work.

The shift / 02

Your competitor has the same editing app.
With Studio Connecta, a senior editor decides what makes the cut.

The editor starts from the footage you already have, watches the recording, chooses what goes in, and builds the cut to the pace of each channel. Then the editor applies your brand book to the motion graphics and captions, cleans up the audio, and exports in the formats from your brief.

  1. 01

    You send the footage

Recordings, live streams, webinars, podcasts, and B‑roll, or a link to the source, along with your brief.

  2. 02

    Logging

The editor watches the recording and marks the moments that stand on their own.

  3. 03

    Cut and pacing

Builds the video to the channel's pace, with your brand's identity.

  4. 04

    Captions and motion

Captions synced to speech, and motion graphics built from your brand book.

  5. 05

    Audio

Noise reduction, normalization, and music from a licensed library.

  6. 06

    Review and delivery

The team reviews the video and delivers it in the formats from your brief.

What the editor decides

In an app, you make each cut yourself. At Studio Connecta, a senior editor watches the whole recording and decides, with your brief in hand:

  • The moments that go in
  • The order of the moments
  • The pace of each channel
  • Where captions and motion go
  • What stays out

Editing starts from the footage you already have. Filming and on-location shoots fall outside this service.

Comparison / 05

Three ways to edit what you record.
Only one puts a senior editor on the cut.

Editing on a phone by your team, an AI app on your own, and Video Editing, criterion by criterion
Criterion On a phone, by your team AI app, on your own With Studio Connecta
Who edits Whoever has time on your team, on a phone, between other tasks. You, adjusting what the app generated. A senior editor, with the method each format calls for.
Long recordings The live stream airs once, and the recording sits on the drive. You pick from the clips the app suggests and check each one. The editor watches the footage and pulls the moments that stand on their own, each one as a short video.
Ads The same video runs until the audience tunes out. You generate quick versions and choose the moment and pace on your own. A senior editor chooses the moment and pace for the campaign's short ads and VSLs.
Captions Goes out without captions, and viewers with the sound off scroll past. Also generates automatic captions, in the app's style. Dynamic captions synced to speech, in your brand's style.
Brand identity A different logo, font, and intro in each video. You start from the app's ready-made templates. Intro, lower thirds, logo, and type animated from your brand book.
Audio Echo, noise, and volume that jumps up and down. Also runs automatic noise reduction. Clean, normalized audio, with music from a licensed library.
Formats A single format, reframed by hand for each platform. Also reframes to 9:16, and you check each version. Final video in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9, ready to post.
Cost Team hours pulled from other work, with no forecast of the total. The app subscription plus your hours of tweaking. Hours package estimated and approved before editing starts.

Who it's for / 06

Who it makes sense for,
and who it doesn't.

Where this pain shows up most

  • Live streams, podcasts, and webinars
  • Video ads in paid campaigns
  • A recorded VSL that's still unedited
  • Lean marketing teams
  • Brands with a defined brand book

It's for you if

  • Your company records live streams, podcasts, or webinars, and the recordings sit on the drive after the broadcast.
  • You invest in paid ads and need short ad videos and VSLs edited for the campaign.
  • Your marketing team is lean, with no senior editor, and your content calendar slips for lack of finished video.
  • Your brand has a brand book, and you want the same identity in each intro, caption, and lower third.
  • You'd rather pay for each project's hours, with the package approved up front, than keep an editor on payroll.

It's not for you if

  • You need someone to come and film. On-location shoots, with crew and day rates, are out of scope.
  • You don't have raw footage or a defined source to edit yet.
  • Your project calls for complex 3D animation, advanced VFX, voiceover, or a professional audio studio.
  • You want content planning, production, and publishing every month. That scope belongs to Branding & Digital Presence, which already includes basic video editing.
  • You want the same service to publish the videos and run paid ads. Paid ads are part of Lead Generation.

FAQ / 09

Questions before you send your footage.

01

Do you shoot the video, or only edit it?

Studio Connecta only edits. You send recordings, live streams, webinars, podcasts, and B‑roll, or a link to the source, and the senior editor works from that footage. Filming and on-location shoots, with crew and day rates, fall outside this service, along with equipment, studio, and travel. If your company already runs live streams or webinars, the footage to edit already exists.

02

My team cuts videos in a phone app, and AI edits on its own now. Why hire an editor?

Your team can cut in the app, and so can your competitor, with the same tools. Owning the tool doesn't make anyone an editor, the same way owning Photoshop doesn't make anyone an art director. At Studio Connecta, a senior editor chooses the moment that goes in and the pace of the cut, then applies your brand identity to the intro and the captions.

03

How does hourly billing work? Won't it turn into an open-ended bill?

The Studio Connecta team estimates the hours package from your brief and footage. The proposal spells out the hourly rate and the estimated total, and the editor starts only after you approve. You pay by international credit card.

04

Which formats do I get the videos in?

You choose each project's formats in the brief: 9:16 (for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok), 1:1, and 16:9. You get the final video ready to post in each format you requested.

05

Are music and licenses included?

Audio editing covers noise reduction, normalization, and music from licensed libraries. Premium music licenses and premium stock footage fall outside the scope. If your project uses a specific library or account for music or fonts, you provide the access, and the proposal lists it as a prerequisite.

06

Do you publish the videos and run the ads?

Not in this service. Publishing to social media and paid ad management fall outside the scope. Ongoing publishing is part of Branding & Digital Presence management, and paid ads come with Lead Generation. If you already have people who publish and run your media, we deliver the finished video to them.

07

The agency that runs my social media already edits video. What's the difference?

Basic editing and professional editing have different scopes. We draw the same line at Studio Connecta: Branding & Digital Presence management includes basic video editing (cutting and adjusting raw footage for social media). In Video Editing, a senior editor builds the cut, brings picture and sound together, and finishes with motion graphics and dynamic captions, in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9. You can hire this service on its own or alongside the agency that already publishes your posts.

08

How soon do I get the video?

The timeline depends on the amount of footage and the formats in each project. We put it in writing in the proposal, along with the hours package, after the brief.

09

Do I need a brand book to get started?

Yes. A brand book, or at least identity guidelines, is a prerequisite, because the editor uses them for the motion graphics, captions, and intros. If you don't have one yet, we'll point you in the right direction before we start.

10

Do I need to hire another Studio Connecta service too?

No. Video Editing works on its own and doesn't depend on AI Marketing Agents or any other Studio Connecta service. If you need content planning and publishing every month, we'll recommend Branding & Digital Presence management when we talk about your project.
